Bringing Buildings Back to Life: A Story of Community and Restoration

I wish I had better before pictures of this project. This building was by far the biggest project we’ve taken on so far but with some amazing volunteers, we were able to get this building back to a usable shape.

Building Restoration: A Labor of Love
One of our very first projects took us to the now concession stand, where a once-charming building had fallen into disrepair. The task seemed daunting (we were actually told to just bring in porta-potties and food trucks), but with the dedication of our volunteers, we set out to breathe new life into this forgotten gem before our first fall festival in 2021 and we did just that! We absolutely can not thank Rodney Norwood enough for his amazing talent and time that he dedicated to this building. The renovation would not have happened if he hadn’t stepped up.
